Shopper Question of the Week: “When Do I Get Paid for a Completed Project?”

Beyond Hello typically pays all independent contractors (mystery shoppers) via PayPal by the end of the month for the previous month’s completed projects. So, if you successfully complete a shop in October, you should be paid by the end of November.

You can look on your Shop Log in the "Shop Fee" column for the "Paid On" date. Note: the “Paid On” date may not show up on the Shop Log until just prior to the actual issue date. In addition, please note that funds will be transferred into your account by the end of the day indicated, not necessarily at the beginning of the day.

There are a few things that can occur, however, that will delay your payment. If the shopper payment doesn’t show up on your Shop Log according to the time frame described above, please check the following:

  1. Your shop may not be “finalized” yet. A shop is not finalized until it has successfully progressed through the entire quality assurance process. This means that all project specifications were correctly met, all questions to you from the scheduler or reviewer have been answered, and the appropriate receipt (if applicable) has been provided.
  2. If you’re a U.S. citizen, you must provide your Social Security number and it must be verified against government records prior to any payment. You can see if this has occurred by looking at your Shopper Profile after you login.
  3. If you’re a Canadian citizen, you shouldn’t enter any number into the Social Security Number section of the Shopper Profile. If you’ve entered your SIN (Social Insurance Number) instead, it will show as an error during the verification process. Please go into your profile and click to update the “SSN/Tax ID” section. Then, check the box for “No US SSN/Tax ID: I do not have a US SSN/Tax ID” and type in “Canadian” for the reason.

In addition, please make sure that the email address you used to register with Beyond Hello is listed on your PayPal account profile. The email addresses MUST match for the funds to be transferred correctly. If you change your email address with Beyond Hello for any reason, you must also remember to add it to your PayPal account profile.
